1. Purpose and identity of the company
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "GTCS") govern distance selling via the www.maisonernest.com website between Maison Ernest and any consumer making a purchase.
Maison Ernest is a société par actions simplifiée (SAS) with share capital of €117,068.40, registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 642 046 668.

2. Scope of application
These general terms and conditions of sale (GTCS) apply to all sales of products concluded via the www.maisonernest.com website or in Maison Ernest boutiques. They prevail over any other document.
3. Products
The products on offer are luxury shoes and accessories manufactured to Ernest's high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Each product is accompanied by a detailed description.
4. Control
Placing an order online implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The order is validated once payment has been accepted.
Maison Ernest reserves the right to refuse any order in the event of an ongoing dispute or obvious anomaly.
5. Prices & Taxes
Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of tax depending on the customer's geographical area.

In these countries, all costs relating to transport, local taxes, customs duties or other additional charges are borne in full by the end customer.
Free shipping and delivery charges
- Free delivery on orders over €500, or equivalent in GBP/USD, to France, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States only (subject to changes in customs regulations).
- For the rest of the world, a €30 shipping charge applies.
- Any customs duties or additional charges will be borne by the end customer.
6. Payment methods
The following are accepted: credit card, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, bank transfer, and Klarna (payment in 4 instalments without charge).
The debit is made when the order is validated.
7. Delivery
- Carriers: DHL, UPS or any other logistics partner, depending on destination.
- Indicative lead times: 2 to 5 working days (excluding customs processing).
- Standard delivery charge :
- France: €15
- Europe and Switzerland: €25
- World: €30
- Free delivery on orders over €500 (or GBP/USD equivalent) for France, the EU, the UK and the USA (subject to customs changes).
8. Right of withdrawal & Returns
- The customer has 14 days from receipt to return an unworn item, in its original packaging and accompanied by the invoice.
- Returns are handled by Maison Ernest via its logistics partners. Any non-conforming returns or returns sent by other means may result in charges being deducted from the refund.
- In case of exchange, the second shipment is free (if minimum value of 500€).
9. Warranties & Claims
- The customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects.
- Natural wear and tear, inappropriate or accidental use are not covered.
- In the event of a manufacturing defect, shoes can be restored by our partner workshops.

10. Made-to-order items
Items made to order (special productions, customizations) cannot be returned, exchanged or reimbursed.
11. Specific features of products with heels
Maison Ernest has been a heel specialist since 1904. However, it is up to each customer to ensure that she can wear the chosen heights.
The warranty does not cover improper use, incorrect operation or accidents caused by incorrect operation.
12. Heel height
The height indicated is measured on a size 37. It may vary by ±3 mm depending on size.
13. Reservation of ownership
The products remain the property of Maison Ernest until full payment has been received.
14. Liability
Maison Ernest cannot be held responsible for any interruption of the site, force majeure or misuse of products.
15. Intellectual property
All content (images, text, logos, design, creations) is the exclusive property of Maison Ernest. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
16. Applicable law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by French law.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution will be submitted to the Commercial Court of Paris.
17. Privacy policy
Maison Ernest collects only the data necessary to manage orders and commercial relations.
No data is passed on to third parties.

18. Value-added tax (non-EU customers)
Customers residing outside the European Union can apply for tax exemption, provided they meet the legal requirements. A form is provided at the time of purchase.

Online payments are secured via approved solutions.
Bank details are never kept by Maison Ernest.
