1. Purpose and Company Information
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTCS”) govern distance sales made through the website www.maisonernest.com between Maison Ernest and any consumer making a purchase.
Maison Ernest is a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €117,068.40, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 642 046 668.

2. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) apply to all product sales made through the website www.maisonernest.com or at Maison Ernest boutiques. They take precedence over any other document.
3. Products
The products offered are luxury shoes and accessories, made to the quality and craftsmanship standards of Maison Ernest. Each product is accompanied by a detailed description.
4. Orders
Placing an order online constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
The order is confirmed once payment has been accepted.
Maison Ernest reserves the right to refuse any order in the event of an ongoing dispute or a clear irregularity.
5. Prices & Taxes
For deliveries to France, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Switzerland, prices are displayed inclusive of all taxes.
For other destinations, prices are displayed excluding taxes. Shipping costs and taxes collected at checkout are specified during payment. Any customs duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees not collected at checkout remain the recipient’s responsibility.
6. Payment methods
The available payment methods are displayed at checkout, depending on your country and the currency of your order. These include bank cards and other payment options available in your location.
In eligible countries and currencies, payment in three instalments with Klarna may be available, subject to Klarna's approval. The amounts shown on product pages are indicative and calculated on the product price, excluding any applicable fees. The terms, amount of each instalment and final payment schedule are shown at checkout.
The timing of charges depends on the payment method selected. For payments with Klarna, charges follow the payment schedule agreed with Klarna.
7. Delivery
- France and the European Union: free delivery on orders over €500.
- United Kingdom: free delivery on orders over GBP 500.
- United States: free delivery on orders over USD 500.
- Switzerland: free delivery on orders over CHF 500.
Below these thresholds and for other destinations, applicable delivery fees are shown at checkout before the order is confirmed.
Carriers and estimated delivery times are listed on our Delivery page. Delivery times may be extended due to customs processing.
8. Right of Withdrawal & Returns
- The customer has 14 days from receipt to return an unworn item in its original packaging and accompanied by its invoice.
- Returns are handled by Maison Ernest through its partner logistics providers for all orders valued at €500 or more. Any return that does not comply with these requirements or is shipped by other means may incur fees deducted from the refund.
- For exchanges, the second shipment is free (for orders valued at €500 or more).
- Returns for orders valued at less than €500 remain the customer's responsibility.
- Any returned item showing signs of wear, damage or use beyond a simple try-on (including marked soles or stretched or altered leather) cannot be accepted.
Products must be tried on a clean surface (carpet or fabric) to avoid damaging the soles.”
9. Warranties & Claims
- The customer benefits from the statutory warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects.
- Natural wear and tear, improper use or accidental damage are not covered.
- In the event of a manufacturing defect, the shoes can be restored by our partner workshops.

10. Made-to-order items
Made-to-order items (specific production runs, customizations) cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
11. Specific considerations for heeled products
Maison Ernest has specialized in heels since 1904. However, each customer is responsible for ensuring that they are able to wear the chosen heel heights.
Inappropriate use, unsuitable walking, or an accident resulting from improper use are not covered by the warranty.
12. Heel height
The stated height is measured on a size 37. It may vary by approximately ±3 mm depending on the size.
13. Retention of title
The products remain the property of Maison Ernest until payment in full has been made.
14. Liability
Maison Ernest cannot be held liable for any website interruption, force majeure event, or improper use of the products.
15. Intellectual property
All content (images, text, logos, design, creations) is the exclusive property of Maison Ernest. Any reproduction or use without authorization is prohibited.
16. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be submitted to the Paris Commercial Court.
17. Privacy policy
Maison Ernest collects only the data necessary to manage orders and business relationships.
No data is shared with third parties.

The website uses technical and analytical cookies to improve the user experience.
18. Tax refunds (non-EU customers)
Customers residing outside the European Union may request a tax refund, subject to meeting the legal requirements. A form is provided when purchasing in store.
19. Secure payment information
Online payments are secured through approved solutions.
Bank details are never stored by Maison Ernest.
